Description
Specialty Gases span a broad range of characteristics, from corrosive gases (such as hydrogen chloride, hydrogen bromide, and hydrogen fluoride), to highly toxic gases (such as arsine and phosphine), to pyrophoric gases (such as silane), to inert gases (such as helium, argon, and nitrogen). With such a diverse set of analytical challenges, an equally diverse range of analytical technology, equipment, and methods, must be developed, in order to meet the requirements of the customer base.

FTIR gas analyzers are widely utilized for many kinds of process and environmental measurements today including gas certification. However, analytical instrumental technologies including FTIRs can be limited in their ability to perform direct determinations with better than 0.25% accuracy and precision due to electronics or other limitations. It is also...

What do aldehydes, chlorofluorocarbons and silylated compounds have in common? They are a pain to analyze via GC-FID! The flame ionization detector (FID) is the most widely used detector because of its simplicity, large linear range (from 0.1 ppb to 100%), and general response to carbon. The response of the...

To ensure safety and performance in critical industrial settings, such as Air Separation Units (ASUs), a robust analytical control solution entails several key attributes: high sensitivity, fast speed of response, no cross-interferences, and no false alarms. Additionally, practical process analytical control often involves remote locations or areas difficult for personnel...
